| From 1983 to 1986, the legendary physicist and teacher Richard Feynman gave a course at Caltech called Potentialities and Limitations of Computing Machines. Here are some of his lectures from that course. DLC: Electronic data processing.
About the Author The late Richard P. Feynman was Richard Chace Tolman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology. He was awarded the 1965 Nobel Prize for his work on the development of quantum electrodynamics, the theory of light and matter. He was also one of the most famous and beloved figures of the twentieth century, both in physics and in the public arena.
Tony Hey is Professor of Computation and Head of the Department of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. He is also the editor of Feynman and Computation: Exploring the Limits of Computers. Robin W. Allen is a Research Assistant in the same department. |
