Scheduling Algorithms, 9783540695158 (354069515X), Springer, 2007
From the reviews of the fourth edition:

"This is a book about scheduling algorithms. … The book contains eleven chapters. … Most of the chapters contain the summarized complexity results. In this edition the complexity columns have been updated. The book is completed by the bibliography which also has been updated and now contains 198 references. The book is well organized. It will be useful for specialists in scheduling theory and in combinatorial optimization." (I.N. Lushchakova, Zentralblatt MATH, Vol. 1060, 2005)

Besides scheduling problems for single and parallel machines and shop scheduling problems the book covers advanced models involving due-dates, sequence dependent changeover times and batching. Also multiprocessor task scheduling and problems with multi-purpose machines are discussed. The methods used to solve these problems are linear programming, dynamic programming, branch-and-bound algorithms, and local search heuristics. Complexity results for different classes of deterministic scheduling problems are summerized.

Discusses scheduling problems for single and parallel machines and shop scheduling problems. Also covert advanced models involving due-dates, sequence dependence changeover times and batching.

Fundamentals of Cryptology: A Professional Reference and Interactive Tutorial
Fundamentals of Cryptology: A Professional Reference and Interactive Tutorial
The protection of sensitive information against unauthorized access or fraudulent changes has been of prime concern throughout the centuries. Modern communication techniques, using computers connected through networks, make all data even more vulnerable to these threats. In addition, new issues have surfaced that did not exist previously, e.g....
Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Systems (International Series in Intelligent Technologies)
Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Systems (International Series in Intelligent Technologies)
One of the attractions of fuzzy logic is its utility in solving many real engineering problems. As many have realised, the major obstacles in building a real intelligent machine involve dealing with random disturbances, processing large amounts of imprecise data, interacting with a dynamically changing environment, and coping with uncertainty....
Practical RF Circuit Design for Modern Wireless Systems Vol. 2: Active Circuits and Systems
Practical RF Circuit Design for Modern Wireless Systems Vol. 2: Active Circuits and Systems
This text is intended to be a populist book.

With so many complex equation–filled engineering books lining the shelves of our bookstores, perhaps you are wondering whether the science of microwaves and RF is ready for a text that can be understood by those who do not speak Latin or wear black robes. We believe so. The goal of a

Getting Started with BeagleBone: Linux-Powered Electronic Projects With Python and JavaScript
Getting Started with BeagleBone: Linux-Powered Electronic Projects With Python and JavaScript

Many people think of Linux as a computer operating system, running on users' desktops and powering servers. But Linux can also be found inside many consumer electronics devices. Whether they're the brains of a cell phone, cable box, or exercise bike, embedded Linux systems blur the distinction between computer and device.

Taming Java Threads
Taming Java Threads

Learning how to write multithreaded applications is the key to taking full advantage of the Java platform. In Taming Java Threads, well-known columnist and Java expert Allen Holub provides Java programmers with the information they need to write real multithreaded programs--programs with real code. Holub provides an in-depth explanation...
